Thessaloniki{Θεσσαλονίκη}, the Nymph of the North, the second largest city of Greece and the co-capital of the Greek State (as it is referred to by the Greeks), was named after the wife of Kassandros {Κάσσανδρος} and half-sister of the King of Macedonians [Place Names] and victorious army commander of all times, Alexander the Great {Aleksandros o Megas ~ Αλέξανδρος ο Μέγας}.
