Andreas Zakos {Ανδρέας Ζάκος} originally came from Linou {Λινού} and worked for the Kseros {Ξερός} Mining Company. He was arrested during the battle at Solon {Σόλων} on December 19th, 1955, and sentenced to death for his part in it. He was hanged on August 9th, 1956, along with Patatsos [see below] and Mihail [see below] at the age of 24.
Mihail Koutsoftas {Μιχαήλ Κουτσόφτας} originally came from Paleometoho {Παλαιομέτοχο} and was a labourer. He was arrested on June 12th, 1956, and charged with shooting and killing a British Flight Sergeant at Nicosia {Lefkosia ~ Λευκωσία} Police Department together with Panagidis [see below] and Paraskevas Hiropoulis {Παρασκευάς Χοιροπούλης}. He was hanged on September 21st, along with Panagidis at the age of 20. Hiropoulis was given a life sentence as he was under 18.
Stelios Mavrommatis {Στέλιος Μαυρομμάτης} was from Larnaca {Λάρνακα} in Lapithos {Λάπιθος}. He was employed at Nicosia Police Department and was Pallikaridis' [People] cousin. He was arrested on March 15th, 1956, and charged with shooting a British Flight Sergeant and a British Airman in Nicosia, two other people were involved but got away. He was hanged on September 21st, 1956, along with Panagidis [see below] and Koutsoftas [see above] at the age of 23.
Harilaos Mihail {Χαρίλαος Μιχαήλ} was from Galini {Γαληνή} and worked for the Cypriot Mining Company. He was arrested during the battle at Solon on December 19th, 1955, and sentenced to death for his part in it. He was hanged on August 9th, 1956, along with Zakos [see above] and Patatsos [see above] at the age of 23.
Andreas Panagidis {Ανδρέας Παναγίδης} was from Paleometoho and was a cook at Nicosia Police Department. He was arrested on June 12th, 1956, and charged with shooting and killing a British Flight Sergeant at Nicosia Police Department together with Koutsoftas [see above] and Paraskevas Hiropoulis. He was hanged on September 21st, 1956, along with Mavrommatis [see above] at the age of 20. Hiropoulis was given a life sentence as he was under 18.
Iakovos Patatsos {Ιάκωβος Πατάτσος} was from Nicosia and was a typographer. He was arrested on August 23rd, 1956, and charged with shooting and killing a Turkish Cypriot police officer in Nicosia. He was hanged on August 9th, 1956, along with Zakos [see above] and Mihail [see above] at the age of 22.
Despite the fact that all the above were dead, the British Administration of the island refused permission for their burial in a proper cemetery. They were buried in the cemetery of Nicosia {Lefkosia ~ Λευκωσία} Central Prison, which was known by the name "Imprisoned Graves" {Filakizmena Mnimata ~ Φυλακισμένα Μνήματα}.
