The flag of Crete [The Kallergis Brothers]. The red flag that contains the picture of Apostle Titus {Τίτος}, Patron Saint of the island, was used before 1453 and for the duration of Ottoman rule.

The flag of Chieftain Georgios Daskalakis.

The flag of Chieftain Georgios Daskalakis {Γεώργιος Δασκαλάκης}. It was used in the holocaust of the Arkadi Monastery, in 1866. It has a Cross and the letters "ΙΣ ΧΣ ΝΙ ΚΑ" {Iisous Hristos Nika ~ ΙησούΣ ΧριστόΣ Νικά}, that is "JESUS CHRIST CONQUERS" and the initials "Κ", "Ε", "Ε" and "Θ", that is "Crete, Union, Liberty or Death" {Kriti, Enosis, Eleftheria i Thanatos ~ Κρήτη, Ένωσις, Ελευθερία ή Θάνατος}.

The flag of Chieftain Andonios Sifakas {Αντώνιος Σήφακας} during the Cretan Revolution in 1866. Yet another flag from the parts of Greece that were still enslaved. The words read "Ένωσις ή Θάνατος" {Enosis i Thanatos}, that is "UNION OR DEATH", and the initials "ΑΣ" are for "Andonios Sifakas".
