    Get rid of nasty dustbin smells by sprinkling a little cat litter in the bottom of the bin.

    Before using superglue, rub a little vaseline into your fingers and it won't stick to them.

  3. Dry your hands when you are doing chores.
    Always stick a cloth through your belt or apron strings so you can wipe your hands before answering the telephone, etc.

    You will not get tea stains on shoes or carpets if you put just used teabags on a saucer before throwing them away.

    Clean artificial plants in the bathtub! Most artificial flowers and plants made of fabric are well able to withstand a bath in cold water and a little detergent. Rinse them afterwards and allow to dry. They will look brand new again!

    Rub dirty marks on walls with a little soft bread.

  20. Greasy marks on wallpaper.
    Get greasy marks off wallpaper by covering the mark with white kitchen paper and ironing over it with a cool iron. The paper will absorb the grease.

  21. Make your own soap.
    There is no need to throw left over pieces of soap away. Keep them, and when you have a lot, put them in a saucepan, heat them up, add a little glycerine and whatever perfume you like. Shape into one or two new bars and allow to dry.

  22. Smells in sports bags.
    No more unpleasant smells in sports bags. Before you pack the bag, put a bar of perfumed soap in it.

  23. Peel garlic easily.
    To make peeling garlic cloves easier, leave them in hot water for 10 minutes. The peel will come away more easily.

  24. Burn marks in the frying pan .
    If you can't get the burn marks off your stainless steel or enamel frying pan, try soaking them off with a mixture of salt and vinegar.
