Download jpFolderManager.zip (2,728,719 bytes) on your hard disk, unzip it in an empty folder and run 'Setup' to install it. In case you don't like this utility, you can uninstall it from 'Add/Remove Programs' like any other Windows application.

In some cases, the setup program may need to upgrade some of your computer's controls before performing the installation of the utility. In this case, let the setup program perform the upgrade (your computer will be re-booted automatically) and then run the setup program again to perform the installation.

Description

Did you ever need a utility that would display the names of all, or selected sub-folders and/or files that exist in a folder, along with their size, date, time and properties? Did you ever need a utility that would also enable you to print this information? Did you ever need a utility that would let you sort, copy, move, rename, delete, change the properties (hidden, system, read-only, archive) and modify the date/time (creation, last access, last modified) of folders and/or files which are stored on the hard disk of your computer? But most important of all, did you ever want such a utility at the cost of a single Smile? If your answer to all the above is YES, then this utility is for YOU. Download it, Install it and Enjoy it.

When we are working on the comments that we may have attached to the items that are stored on the top level of a disk, we usually have to scroll the window up and/or down to see if there are any items that have no comments attached to them. With this version, before we begin viewing the comments, a message is displayed if there is at least one item that has no comments attached to it.

Under certain circumstances, the warning message which is displayed if there is at least one item that has no comments attached to it, appeared twice. The bug that caused this, has been located and fixed. The background colour of the items that have no comments attached to them, now defaults to blue; something that makes these items stand out a mile. The "up one level" command, has now a keyboard shortcut: the "backspace" key. The "Refresh" command, has now a keyboard shortcut: the "F5" key. The "Select all" command, has now a keyboard shortcut: the "Ctrl+A" key combination.

The "Find" command, has now a keyboard shortcut: the "F3" key. The "Delete" command, has now a keyboard shortcut: the "Del" key. The "Rename" command, has now a keyboard shortcut: the "F2" key. The "Attributes" command, has now a keyboard shortcut: the "Alt+Enter" key combination.

The format of the printout is now more user friendly, compared to the format that was used in older versions of the application.
The printout can be saved in a plain text file.
In older versions of the application, if we had attached comments to a folder (e.g. "Image files") and then modified the case of the characters of the name of the folder (e.g. "Image Files"), the folder would appear as if no comments were attached to it. This bug has been fixed.
We can select the target folder, from within the saved paths, while copying, moving or backing-up.
In older versions of the application, we could not modify the case of the characters of an item (e.g. from "outcome" to "Outcome"). This bug has been fixed.

In older versions of the application, we had to create a target folder that didn't exist, before initiating the copy, move or backup process. This limitation no longer exists.

The comments can ben saved in a plain text file.

This update contains several internal fixes that were not affecting the operation of the application but should have been applied a long time ago.
