Download jpEuroCurrencyConverter.zip (2,508,208 bytes) on your hard disk, unzip it in an empty folder using a 32-bit unzipping utility and run 'Setup' to install it. In case you don't like this utility, you can uninstall it from 'Add/Remove Programs' like any other Windows application.
Important notice

In some cases, the setup program may need to upgrade some of your computer's controls before performing the installation of the utility. In this case, let the setup program perform the upgrade (your computer will be re-booted automatically) and then run the setup program again to perform the installation.

This utility converts to (or from) Euro, any amount expressed in the currency of the countries that participate in the European Economic Monetary Union (EMU), according to a fixed exchange rate, as set by the Council of the Economic and Finance Ministers of the Member Countries (ECOFIN) and the European Central Bank (ECB).
The utility supports the use of one additional, user defined, currency.
The exchange rates for all of the Member Countries, except Greece, were finalized on December 31st, 1998. The exchange rate for Greece, was finalized on December 31st, 2000.
CAUTION: When you convert to Euro, the amount that will result after the comparison, may differ from the amount you entered. This happens because the initial amount is converted to Euro and then, the amount in Euro is converted to all other currencies. This conversion method is mandatory (Council Regulation 1103, June 17th 1997, Article 4, Paragraph 4) and is called triangulation (the term is informal).
You may also import and export the INI file of the application, you can print the results and, finally, you can view the Windows system info about your PC.
